Echoes

5 artists, from Africa to Europe: sculpture, painting and installation transform the spaces of Fondazione 107 into a multi-ethnic setting.

Let's start with the title Echoes. Echo is the phenomenon generated by an action in order to propagate itself elsewhere, to reach an obstacle and come back, to bounce back to the starting point by dressing up in new guises, having set in motion a process of transformation. This is the attitude of the artists in the exhibition: they start from their own knowledge, their own origins and culture to encounter others from which they draw, rework and finally render their work in other forms.

The artists are Cyprien Tokoudagba from Benin, Ismaila Manga from Senegal, from Italy, Pietro Weber, Alma Zoppegni and Luigi Farina.
