Double White
Stories of sugar and chocolate
Choco-Story Turin, Museum of Chocolate and Gianduia - Turin (TO)
From Friday 8.05.2026 to Saturday 6.06.2026
The exhibition Double White - Stories of sugar and chocolate represents a unique exhibition project, capable of bringing together the’contemporary art with the deep Turin confectionery tradition. Edited by Monica Rolfini, exhibition transforms the historical rooms of via Sacchi 42 on a stage of visual and sensory experimentation, where modern aesthetics blend harmoniously with the centuries-old identity of the patisserie Pfatisch. The route takes the form of an immersive experience: visitors are welcomed into a dimension in which the aroma of chocolate accompanies the discovery of works specially conceived for these spaces.
Protagonists of the artistic tale are Matilde Domestico e Angela Pietribiasi, which present a series of interventions site-specific. Matilde Domestico explores the language of sculpture through the installation “The Chocolates“works realised in porcelain and paper that reinterpret the everyday object through repetition and a delicate search for balance between solidity and lightness. In parallel, Angela Pietribiasi proposes the project of photography and compositing entitled “The Imaginary Life of Sweety“. In this ironic and poetic narration, a meringue becomes a fantasy character, leading the observer on a modern, imaginative visual journey.
The exhibition, hosted in the evocative indoor hall by Pfatisch, is the culmination of a visit to the Chocolate and Gianduja Museum, enriching its cultural offering with new aesthetic meanings. In this setting, the contrast between the historical charm of the location and contemporary creativity generates an unprecedented harmony, celebrating a symbolic place of Turin loved by citizens and tourists alike.
