includedFrom Friday 4 September 2026 to Saturday 31.10.2026
The Vercelli Cathedral Treasury Museum hosts an original exhibition that creates a dialogue between the contemporary photography with the historical, artistic and spiritual heritage housed in its rooms. The exhibition Painting with light offers an exhibition and character-based experience introspective born out of the artist’s research Giorgio Lupano on the subtle and complex relationship between light, matter e visual perception.
Le fourteen works These selected products are the result of a careful balance between technique e artistic sensibility. Through compositions crafted with the utmost rigour, the viewer is led beyond a mere representation of reality, to explore the boundary between visible e invisible. Light does more than simply illuminate matter, but reveals its profound symbolic dimension, prompting reflection on the value of the’imageof the memory and theinteriority.
The exhibition is integrated into the permanent collections, creating a harmonious contrast without altering the original structure. This creates a bridge between the artist’s contemporary language and the museum’s precious historical artefacts — from the precious metals at pictorial works and the liturgical artefacts —, where light has evoked a profound spiritual significance for centuries. The exhibition, which forms part of the events of the Rice Festival – Risò, offers an immersive, inclusive and contemplative experienceenriched by guided tours, photography workshops e educational activities.
