Lotto lived in Bergamo for more than a decade, one of the most fruitful periods of his career, during which he produced the altarpiece for the lay confraternity of the Bergamo Disciplines.
The exhibition is enriched with a photographic section curated by Filippo Maggiawith works by Axel Hütte (1951), a leading exponent of the school in Düsseldorf. The photographic route offers a dialogue between Lotto's art and the places that still hold his works todayinviting the viewer to reflect on the relationship between memory, image and space.
