FROM MONET TO WARHOL. Masterpieces from the Johannesburg Art Gallery

The Gianni Bellini Art Gallery in Sarnico, on the shores of Lake Iseo, is hosting an exhibition presenting masterpieces from the Johannesburg Art Gallery, which opened to the public in 1910 and boasts a heritage of great artistic value. The exhibition commemorates Nelson Mandela, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his death.

The exhibition offers 60 works, including oils, watercolours and graphics, from the prestigious South African art gallery, covering well over a century of international art history, from the mid-19th century to the second half of the 20th century, through its major interpreters, from Courbet to Corot, Monet to Degas, Rossetti to Millais, Picasso to Bacon, Lichtenstein to Warhol and many others.
