FIAT HISTORIC CENTRE - Turin (TO)
includedFrom Thursday 20.11.2025 to Sunday 22.03.2026
Masterpieces of Turin is an exhibition project that celebrates the memory and legacy of Fiat and Lancia Student Schools, active for most of the twentieth century. Curated by Nicola Nunziata and promoted by the National Automobile Museum, The exhibition stems from a call to action addressed to former students in Turin and is designed as a participatory experience that combines artistic research, active citizenship and documentary method.
The term “masterpieces” refers to the technical artefacts produced by students during their training. However, in this context, it takes on a broader meaning: symbols of excellence, commitment and collective identity, which go beyond production to enter the field of museum and artistic reflection.
The exhibition displays archival documents, original objects, historical photographs, interviews, and video installations which interact with contemporary works born from the reinterpretation of that heritage. The aim is to enhance private archives and widespread memory, constructing a narrative that restores a fundamental piece of Italy's formative and industrial history to local communities.
Located in the spaces of the Fiat Historical Centre – just a few steps away from the historic headquarters of the Scuola Centrale in Corso Dante – the exhibition serves as a meeting point between history, art, technology and civic participation, in an engaging and multidisciplinary journey.
