The exhibition CAMERA meets ICP. A living archiveset up in CAMERA's Project Room, celebrates the ten-year collaboration between the centre of Turin and theInternational Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. A unique exhibition project that brings together and narrates the experience of 221 students from 34 countries who, from 2016 to 2025, participated in the advanced training programme in Visual Storytelling. Every summer, for ten years, Turin has become a photographic and human laboratory thanks to the ICP teachers' rigorous teaching method.
The exhibition returns this living archive with over 300 projected imagesa curatorial selection of 40 shots signed by seven former students who have become international professionals, and instruments of archival tagging e graphical displays. It is a dynamic heritage that continues to expand, offering new visual perspectives and recording the social changes e urban of the territory. The photographs tell not only faces and places, but also stylistic trends and new languages of contemporary photography.
A choral project curated by Cristina Araimo, Barbara Bergaglio e Giangavino Pazzolawith ICP lecturers including Karen Marshall, Andrew Lichtenstein, Gaia Squarci and other important names in photography. The exhibition is accompanied by the training programme supported by Compagnia di San Paolo.
