Bird Photographer of the Yearfor the first time in Italy, lands at the Fortress of Bard with an exhibition of extraordinary visual power. The famous international competition, now in its tenth edition, celebrates the beauty and diversity of birds through photography, with over 33,000 images from all over the world. The selected works cover twelve categories: from young photographers to the most striking shots on behaviour, portraits, birds in flight, natural environment, creative perspectivesup to the video and issues related to conservation.

Dominating the scene is the winning image of 2025, signed by Liron Gertsmanwhich captures a frigate against the total solar eclipse in Mexico. A work that combines technical dedication, artistic vision and naturalistic sensitivityas the Director of the award points out Will Nicholls. Representing Italy, the award-winning shots of Francesco Guffanti with a golden eagle and Philippe Egger with a kingfisher in artistic flight.

The exhibition is not only a celebration of nature, but also a reflection on the authentic role of photography in a world increasingly populated by digitally artificial images. An unmissable opportunity to immerse oneself in a visual journey that fascinates, educates and inspires.
