Banksy & Friends
Stories of rebellious artists
Fine Arts Promoter - Turin (TO)
ReducedFrom Friday 15.11.2024 to Sunday 2.03.2025
The exhibition Banksy & Friends: Stories of Rebel Artists at the Promotrice delle Belle Arti in Turin offers an immersion in the most irreverent and non-conformist works of art contemporary. With more than eighty pieces on display, signed by world-famous artists such as Banksy, Jago, TvBoy, Takashi Murakami, Liu Bolin, David LaChapelle e Damien Hirst, the exhibition is a vibrant representation of current art. Each work explores themes such as the social justice, the warthe consumerism and the power, interweaving a dialogue with the public that is both provocative and poetic. This exhibition, curated by Piernicola Maria Di Iorio and produced by Next Events in collaboration with Arthemisia and other institutions, offers a unique experience for fans of public art e street art.
Among Banksy's iconic works, such as Girl with Balloon e Bomb Love, alongside Jago's sculptures, Liu Bolin's mimetic performances and LaChapelle's pop-surrealist works. Each artist proposes a direct and accessible language, aimed at shaking consciences and questioning the established order. Irony and social criticism combine to express contemporary unease, transforming art into a powerful means of denunciation. For visitors, this exhibition is an opportunity to confront the messages hidden behind apparently simple images, in a journey that outrages, moves and inspires.
