The exhibition Arturo Vermi. Diary of Happiness opens the cycle Major Exhibitions a Palazzo delle Paure of Lecco, entrusted to ViDi Cultural for the three-year period 2025-2028. Edited by Simona Bartolena, The exhibition presents over 60 works by the Bergamo-based artist. Arturo Vermi (1928–1988), a central figure in Italian art between the 1950s and 1980s.
The exhibition covers all stages of Vermi's artistic career, from his early works to his latest pieces, with a particular focus on his affinities with trends. European minimalists of the 1960s, of which he was a pioneer. The works on display come from the’Arturo Vermi Association and Archive, from private collections and the artist's family.
Curator Simona Bartolena emphasises how Vermi's works suggest interpretations spiritual and transcendent, maintaining a strong connection with the Nature and thehumanity, making his works emotionally engaging. In the 1970s, the happiness becomes the central theme of his artistic and personal research.
