The Castello Sforzesco in collaboration with the Fondazione Oderzo Cultura on the occasion of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of artist and cartoonist Alberto Martini, presents the exhibition Alberto Martini. The dance macabre. The important nucleus of Martini's works in the collections of the Gabinetto dei Disegni and the Civica Raccolta delle Stampe Achille Bertarelli is exhibited.

The exhibition explores the theme of the allegory of death and the dance macabre, addressed by Martini in some important works, such as L'Death roll (1894-1896), an exceptional cycle of drawings, to the famous postcards of the European dance macabrepublished by the publisher Longo of Treviso on the occasion of the First World War.
Martini's works are flanked by valuable examples of European graphics dedicated to the theme of the Totentanz.
