includedFrom Thursday 17.09.2026 to Sunday 17.01.2027
His first solo exhibition at a European institution in Aki Sasamoto It showcases over twenty years of interdisciplinary experimentation, forging a link between scientific rigour and profound humanity. Through sculptures, installations, video e performing arts, the artist explores themes related to human and social relations, to the memory and to the’emotional experience. At the intersection of different disciplines such as dance, the mathematics, the social psychology, the meteorology and the eco-behavioural sciences, the artist’s work transports personal experience into a metaphorical imaginary world, reworking the traditional modes of sculptural and performative language.
In the spaces of the Shed of the museum at Milan, the exhibition features large kinetic installations such as Sounding Lines e catch or be caught, works that reflect on the idea of cycles and purity as Delicate Cycle, and experiences linked to personal and emotional memories such as Secrets of My Mother’s Child. Among the most striking installations are also Centrifugal March, to the sound of melting ice, Strange Attractors, the relational transformation of Wrong Happy Hour and the pneumatic mechanisms of Past in the future tense, alongside the historic initiative Cooking Show. The exhibition thus unfolds as a dynamic sequence that invites the public to reflect on the complexity of interpersonal interactions and the trajectories of contemporary life.
