The exhibition Àiva. Signs of water in the Lanzo Valleyscurated by Aldo Audisio e Laura Gallo on behalf of the Lanzo Valleys Historical Society, lands in Lemie, hosted by theformer Brotherhood next to the parish church. The exhibition is the result of a photographic project initiated between December 2019 and January 2020, which aims to restore the expressive power and poetry of the waters of the Lanzo Valleys. The route develops through a selection of forty black and white photographstaken from an original collection of around eighty images, which tell the story of the territory in all its variety: from the glaciers to springs, from Alpine streams to the famous Lanzo Devil's Bridge.
The photographic works, created by various authors once affiliated with theOculus Digital Association, propose an unprecedented visual narrative of the mountain landscape, in which water becomes protagonist of memory, culture and natural beauty. The exhibition not only documents, but invites visitors to explore and experience the Lanzo Valleys area, interweaving documentation and suggestion in an immersive and evocative journey. The initiative, which has already been accepted in other Italian and international venues, is part of a broader project of Enhancement of the environmental and cultural heritage local.
