Temporary exhibition
Dinner’s ready!
Accorsi-Ometto Museum - Turin (TO)
From Wednesday 28 October 2026 to Sunday 10.01.2027
La Accorsi-Ometto Foundation hosts a sophisticated exhibition of still lifes, an ancient style of painting which finds a new and contemporary interpretation here through the mastery of Luisa Albert. Characterised by an enchanting light, meticulous details and a subtle sense of humour, the artist’s compositions complement perfectly the exquisite furnishings of the The Museum’s dining room, creating unexpected and particularly charming combinations.
The project takes shape around the dining table, understood not merely as a physical space, but as a genuine symbolic place of interaction, exchange and interpersonal storytelling. It is precisely from this richness of actions and meanings that the idea for the exhibition arises. The exhibition comprises paintings of various formats, rich in visual inspiration: common tableware items coexist with elements steeped in history, such as food, drinks, silverware, antiques, glasses e crystals, to create images that straddle the line between everyday life and the symbolic realm.
Each work represents a self-contained chapter linked by a unifying theme. Through a variety of shots, the table becomes a visual pretext for exploring diverse themes such as the art market, the history, the music, the break and the reflection. Each piece is also enhanced by a QR code which features a foreword by the artist and a commentary by an expert, transforming the painting into an open invitation to dialogue and shared moments.
