In addition to highlighting the thirty-year relationship that Superintendent Palma Bucarelli had with an exceptional group of masters, the exhibition emphasises the richness of the Roman museum's collections and celebrates 21 artists who animated an unprecedented season in the Italian contemporary art scene: Ettore Colla, Pino Pascali, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Mimmo Rotella, Bice Lazzari, Afro, Piero Dorazio, Giosetta Fioroni, Carla Accardi, Giulio Turcato, Gastone Novelli, Toti Scialoja, Sergio Lombardo, Tano Festa, Franco Angeli, Piero Manzoni, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano and Emilio Isgrò.
