The Last Dance with WOW

The museum will have to leave the building in Viale Campania 12 and cease all activities, as requested by the Milan City Council. More information is available on the structure's official website.

For the occasion, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., WOW Spazio Fumetto, AFA - Autoproduzioni Fichissime Anderground and Bricòla organise The Last Dance with WOW, an event that aims to be both a farewell party on behalf of the Milanese comics community and a moment of artistic mobilisation to keep attention on what is happening.

In the course of the afternoon, comic book artists will take turns in a designed jam sessiona form of creative protest to show affection for a reality that, since 2011, has been managed by the Franco Fossati Foundation.

From 17.00 onwards, the public is invited to participate in the symbolic closing of the museum, with music, drawings and sharing, until 20.00when the doors close for good.

During the day, the exhibition Comics united against evictionwhich brings together over 200 drawings published in recent months by artists on social media, deploying their characters in support of WOW Spazio Fumetto. Those who wish can contribute by creating a work on the spot.

It will also be possible to buy comics and originals in the museum bookshop, with special discounts designed to symbolically support its closure.
