The Nativity at Santa Maria del Monte

Sunday 4 January 2026, at 11 a.m., during the special openings of the Sacro Monte museums for the Christmas period, a special guided tour is planned at the Baroffio Museum and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Monte.

THE NATIVITY AT SANTA MARIA DEL MONTE
A tour dedicated to representations of the Nativity at Santa Maria del Monte. At the Baroffio Museum, you can admire works from the Romanesque period to contemporary art, discovering how the birth of Jesus has been interpreted over the centuries. The tour will continue in the Sanctuary, with a focus on the altars of the’Adoration of the Magi and the Presentation at the Temple.
