Giant Friends: The Magic of the St Bernards at the Fort

Following the success of the first event organised in the spring of 2025, the Barryland St Bernard dogs, the theme park in Martigny entirely dedicated to this legendary Alpine breed, are returning to the Bard Fortress, Saturday 26 September 2026 with a day of activities designed to families with children and young people aged between 6 and 14: Giant Friends: The Magic of St Bernards.

Through an approach interactive and engaging, participants will be able to get up close to a St Bernard and learn about its characteristics, behaviour and role in society, whilst also discovering the Basic rules for a healthy relationship with animals.

The programme will be divided into structured games and opportunities for direct interaction with the dog, run by Barryland’s specialist staff. An opportunity to learn, whilst having fun, how to build a relationship with the animals correct, informed and respectful, whilst at the same time stimulating motor skills, the senses and a spirit of cooperation.

The activities will take place from 11.00 to 16.00, with sessions lasting 30 minutes, for groups of up to 20 participants.

Throughout the day, you’ll also have the chance to meet Barry, the Barryland mascot, and take a souvenir photo together.

A special day for young and old alike, exploring the the link between the St Bernards and the Alpine heritage, against the picturesque backdrop of Bard Fortress.
