AMCLUB UNESCO | Archaeological Tour in the Valley of Signs

The Valle dei Segni (Valley of Signs), world-famous for its rock art depictions, most of which date back to prehistoric times, is the first UNESCO recognised site in our country. The tour, which aims to retrace the stages of this ancient art, will end with a visit to the National Museum of Prehistory, which integrates the heritage of images engraved on the rocks with the exhibition of finds.

Programme of the day

• 10 a.m. Meet at Capo di Ponte in Via Limit, near the Sante church and start the short walk (approx. 5-10 minutes) on a cobbled road with a slight uphill slope (suitable for all) to reach the entrance to the Naquane Rock Carvings National Park, Italy's first archaeological park since 1955
• 12.30 pm end of visit and free lunch break
• 14.00 Visit to the Archaeological Park of the Massi di Cemmo
• 2.45 p.m. Visit to the MuPre - Museum of Prehistory of Capo di Ponte 
• 4 p.m. end of the visiting day
