Widow Tintoretto. In dialogue, set up in the Senate Chamber of the Kingdom of Italy, presents a 50 or so masterpieces including canvases by Emilio Vedova and works by Tintoretto such as the clamorous Camerlenghi altarpieces, extraordinary loan from the Venice Academy Galleries or, again, some of the works of celebrated cycle of Metamorphoses now stored at Estensi Galleries of Modena. The close dialogue between the two artists develops from Vedova's youthful drawings of 1936 through the canvases from the 1940s and 1950s dedicated to reflection on paintings by Tintoretto such as the Multiplication of the loaves and fishes (by Tintoretto) (1942), The Crucifixion (by Tintoretto) (1947), (study from Tintoretto's Dream of St. Mark) (1956), and to those of the 1980s.

Completing the dialogue and exhibition is Vedova with the monumental installation ...in continuum, interpenetration/translation '87/'88More than one hundred large canvases, assembled with one another in a development that defies the verticality of the Senate Hall, testify to Vedova's evolution as he continues his confrontation with the ideal master with visionary power.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition accompanied by the curator, Giovanni Carlo Federico Villa, Director of Palazzo Madama. The visit will end with a thematic aperitif inspired by the flavours of the lagoon, in the halls of the Palace.
