Stories of the Palace, stories of the city
A Journey Through Old Milan
Milan (MI)
Sunday 8 November 2026 at 15:30-17:00
Who once lived in the rooms of Palazzo Morando? What was Milan like before the major changes that transformed it into the city it is today? Through a journey amongst paintings, furnishings and historic interiors, visitors will discover the museum’s two distinct aspects: the art gallery and the noble apartments, which bear witness to aristocratic life in Milan between the 18th and 19th centuries. The works on display will serve as invaluable sources for reconstructing the city’s history, tracing its urban, social and cultural evolution. From the Navigli canal system to the grand squares, from the changes of the 19th century to the birth of modern Milan, the tour will encourage a comparison between past and present.
