AM Club | Rivoli: the Castle, Casa Carena and Ranverso
Rivoli (TO)

Sunday 23.11.2025 at 08:30-19:00
Visit of the Preceptory of St. Anthony of Ranverso, the abbey complex, with the adjoining 15th-century Ospedale della precettoria, located along the route of the Via Francigena. A typical example of French Gothic influence, it preserves an important 15th century painting cycle by Giacomo Jaquerio. Second stage at Avigliana to visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Laghi and free lunch in Avigliana. Arrival in Rivoli and visit the Castle and Casa Carena. The House-Studio of the artist Antonio Carena provides an in-depth account of his history and evolution, offering an engaging journey through the different stages of his artistic production and the transformations that characterised his career. As well as hosting temporary exhibitions of international standing, the Castello di Rivoli is a centre for creativity, research, education and cultural development. Its innovative exhibitions and experimental performances have found an ideal context in the architectural uniqueness of the Castle, a Baroque masterpiece designed by Filippo Juvarra in 1718, which continues to inspire artists invited to create site-specific works for the Permanent Collection.
