The rooms of the 16th-century Palazzo Biandrate Aldobrandino di San Giorgio will be exceptionally open and fruibles with a guided tour.
A pivotal building in the Santa Genoveffa block since medieval times, the palace underwent several alterations and was inhabited by different owners, without, however, losing its elegance and the traces of architectural history that continue to characterise it.
Owned by the Aiazza family, it passed into the hands of the Savoys, to become the home of the Biandrate di San Giorgio family: in 1877, Reale Mutua made it its first property, preserving its volumes and spaces intact; it simply used the rooms differently.
In 2012 it underwent a massive renovation, which restored it to its former glory: its courtly courtyard is part of the City's dedicated tours, while the courtly rooms on the piano nobile, frescoed by Sebastiano Taricco, are only visible on ad hoc tours.
The ground floor houses the Reale Mutua Archive Museum and the Reale Mutua Historical Archiveguardians and witnesses of the ancient knowledge of the care.
