From advertising tool to true work of art: the National Cinema Museum explores the intertwining of art and cinema with the exhibition Manifesti d'artista (Artist Posters), which showcases some of the most significant film posters from the silent and sound era, created by great artists. From the futurist avant-garde of the 1910s to the graphic sophistication of the 1920s, to Rodčenko's famous constructivist poster for Battleship Potemkin, the guided tour takes visitors on a journey in which the poster is emancipated from its promotional function to become an autonomous language of art.
