AM Club | The Oropa Botanical Garden

The Oropa Botanical Garden works to raise awareness and protect Alpine biodiversity: the mountains are home to most of the Earth's biodiversity hotspots and provide fresh water for about half of humanity. They include a multitude of ecosystems that are home to unique species such as snow leopards and mountain gorillas, but also less conspicuous ones such as alpine plants for example, as well as great cultural diversity.

Mountainous regions are particularly sensitive to degradation due to human pressures and climate change. Rising temperatures force species, ecosystems and the people who depend on them to adapt or migrate. These issues (and many others) are the focus of the guided tours offered throughout the season.

For summer 2024 subscribers are an exclusive guided tour is offered on Saturdays at 15.00, normally offered to the general public on public holidays only.
