The Diocesan Museum in Milan presents the exhibition on the Lamentation over the Dead Christ by Giovanni Bellini, from the Vatican Museums. This precious panel, originally the cymatium of the Pesaro Altarpiece for the high altar of the church of San Francesco in Pesaro, is now considered one of the greatest masterpieces of Italian painting. The exhibition compares the Compianto theme with works by four contemporary artists. On the occasion of the exhibition, the Diocesan Museum offers subscribers an exclusive guided tour of Bellini's masterpiece.
