AM Club | Pogliaghi House Museum and Borgo di Santa Maria del Monte

The eclectic rooms of the Pogliaghi Museum house an international collection of works of art and archaeological finds, the fruit of Lodovico Pogliaghi's collecting passion. The visit then continues in the village and the sanctuary, where two other figures who characterised Sacro Monte during the 20th century will be presented: Floriano Bodini and Enrico Manfrini, both artists close to Monsignor Pasquale Macchi, archpriest of the parish of Santa Maria del Monte and personal secretary to Pope Paul VI. The statue created in 1986 by Floriano Bodini, located next to the entrance to the Sanctuary on the Viale delle Cappelle side, is dedicated to the pontiff. In the Sanctuary, on the other hand, we can admire a bronze installation by the sculptor Manfrini, which depicts the figure of Mary and the Annunciation.
