Bahar Heidarzade. The colour ruby
Turin (TO)
Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 17:00-18:30
A guided tour with the curator of the Fruit Museum and the Iranian artist Bahar Heidarzade, exploring the pomegranate – a fruit with powerful symbolic significance that spans all Mediterranean cultures, representing a means of encounter and exchange that binds peoples, their lands and their histories. In Iran, on the night of Yalda, during the winter solstice, Iranian families still eat pomegranate seeds to invoke the return of light. It is a rite of resistance. For the Iranian artist, presenting a pomegranate – virtually completing the Garnier Valletti collections – is a way of drawing the public’s attention to the need for cultural encounter and dialogue.”
