AM Club | The origins of the Republic

To mark the 80th anniversary of the constitutional referendum, we are offering a special guided tour featuring works of art, archival documents and artefacts from the museum’s storerooms, on exceptional display to the public. The tour explores the role of women in the struggles of the Risorgimento, the achievement of women’s suffrage and the campaigning for the 1946 referendum. The tour also includes a special section dedicated to objects “rediscovered” from the archives as part of research carried out for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation. An opportunity to rediscover, in the heart of Milan, key chapters of Italian history through previously unpublished materials and rare artefacts.

• Meeting: Entrance to the Museum of the Risorgimento
• Cost: Free event with compulsory booking reserved for subscribers. Each Museum Subscription holder may bring along a non-subscriber who will enjoy the guided tour free of charge (the non-subscriber only has to pay for the Museum entrance ticket).
