An exclusive event and a unique experience combining history, art, anecdotes and the secrets of the art of fine dining! Turin and Surroundings invites you to discover the true home of Amedeo di Castellamonte, the renowned architect to the House of Savoy and designer of the Royal Palace of Venaria.
The Experience
Through an engaging an animated tour narrated by three voices, you will be guided through the history of an ancient medieval manor house, rebuilt in the 17th century and completed in the 19th century. Along the way, the stories of the families who have lived there and still do today will come to life, giving a voice to Amedeo himself, his daughter Antonia Maria, Duke Carlo Emanuele II of Savoy, the great Bernini and the Ricardi di Netro counts, with their tales of the Risorgimento.
Among the most fascinating moments of the visit:
- The Chapel of the Assumption: recently restored thanks to the PNRR, home to a previously unseen painted altarpiece, the only surviving example of the “ephemeral works” created by Amedeo.
- The Art of the Table: a special meeting with the host, who will reveal interesting facts, traditions and secrets of court life.
- Final toast: The event will draw to a close in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere with a toast featuring sparkling wine!
