45 metres above Alba

Saturday 25 October a special double guided tour proposal to discover the history and treasures of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo in Alba.
The route will begin with the ascent to the Romanesque bell towerwhich, at 45 metres high, preserves a unique peculiarity: the presence of two bell towers, one from the 10th century and the other from the 12th century. From the top you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view over the city of Alba.

The visit will then continue in the atmospheric Treasury Hallwhich gathers together a rich heritage of silverware and sacred vestments: reliquaries, furnishings and liturgical robes made between the 17th and 20th centuries by master goldsmiths from Turin, local manufactures and from beyond the Alps. A collection of precious testimonies that tell of the history and art of the Diocese.

The afternoon will conclude with a snack in the garden of the cathedral rectoryopportunity to taste typical local products.
