Rules of Use
1. What is Museum Subscription
The Museum Pass is a ticket for access to affiliated museums, is valid 365 days from the date of purchase, is strictly personal and non-transferable. On request, it must be shown together with an identity document.
The Subscription is identified by a unique QRcode on a rechargeable card as well as in dematerialised form on mobile applications, after authentication of the holder user.
The card, if in the holder's possession, must be kept carefully and used to enjoy the Subscription and/or renew it in subsequent years.
The Subscription is exempt from VAT pursuant to Article 10(1)(22) of Presidential Decree No. 633/72.
In exceptional cases, the validity of the Subscription may be extended at the discretion of the Abbonamento Musei Association, the manager of the Subscription. In this case, notice shall be given by publication on the website www.abbonamentomusei.it and/or through communication to individual subscribers at the contact details (email address and/or mobile phone) communicated at the time of subscription. Various Subscription formulas with differentiated rates are available. The complete list of available formulas and purchase prices is available on the website www.abbonamentomusei.it.
2. What it includes
The Museum Subscription entitles the bearer to free access to permanent exhibitions; it also entitles the bearer to free access to temporary exhibitions organised by the museum or by third parties within the museum premises or in other venues communicated by the Association on the official channels (provided that the third party organiser of the exhibition has joined the Museum Subscription circuit); and, where foreseen and included in the admission ticket, to the ancillary activities to the visit organised by the museum.
The number of accesses allowed for individual subscribers and/or their museum and exhibition subscriptions may be defined and limited after publication on the Association's official channels, and in any case may not be repeated in the same Museum and Temporary Exhibitions (or access to parts thereof) within the same day. The updated list of participating museums can be found on the website www.abbonamentomusei.it and may change during the validity of the Subscription, as may the conditions of access accepted by the participating museums.
The Subscription activation procedure records the data for the application of tariffs and the use of the Subscription at the contracted locations.
Subscription Museums also provides digital content that includes information, communication, and assistance, including personalised assistance, in order to ensure that the Subscription holder can make the most of the Subscription and learn about the opportunities offered by the affiliated museums, also based on the holder's interests and preferences. Subscription Museums also undertakes to send a non-binding communication requesting the Subscription holder's feedback on the quality of the events attended.
Subscription Museums also reserves the right to carry out communications regarding products and services on the basis of legitimate interest. Users may exercise their right to stop receiving such communications by modifying their preferences in the Private Area, contacting Customer Service, and clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of each e-mail.
The Subscription to Museums also entitles the holder to discounts and benefits for access, outside the affiliated museums, to other cultural initiatives in Italy, as well as to live performance events and other opportunities as specified on the website www.abbonamentomusei.it.
In order to use it, the subscriber must prove the validity of the Subscription, and for initiatives requiring the involvement of third parties, such as the organisation of guided excursions, the strictly necessary data may be disclosed to third parties.
3. What it does not include
The holder of the Season Ticket is not entitled to the provision of services not related to the visit and extra paid services not included in the admission ticket.
The use of the Season Ticket may be limited or not allowed during special periods or events that differ from the museum's normal pricing plan (e.g: European Heritage Days, €1.00 special-ticket admissions or special admissions for special events...) and in the case of events of a commercial nature (e.g. exhibitions or fairs where the goods on display are being promoted or sold). It will be the Association's task to communicate these changes through official communication channels.
The Subscription does not guarantee the continuation of the terms, hours and opening times of the affiliated museums, which are defined by the museums themselves and/or governed by any regulatory provisions.
The Junior Pass cannot be used during school visits, except for specific projects for which a special agreement has been signed with the participating museums.
4. What is the gift code
It is possible to give or buy Museum Passes for other people by purchasing gift codes online and at the points of sale of the circuit. The gift code is unique and not nominative.
The gift code must be used to redeem the Museum Pass online or at points of sale, otherwise it does not allow access to museums.
The validity is indicated on the gift itself; if not redeemed by that date, it will not be redeemable or reissued.
The gift code can also be used to renew a Subscription.
The gift code is linked to the chosen circuit (Subscription Musei Piemonte Valle d'Aosta, Subscription Musei Lombardia Valle d'Aosta, Subscription Musei Formula Extra).
In the case of a gift code purchased at a reduced or discounted rate, when using the code to activate the card (so-called "redemption"), the person concerned must prove that he or she meets the requirements for the rate applied at the time of purchase. Otherwise, he/she shall have to pay the difference.
In the event that two gift codes were purchased or received as gifts, no refunds will be made, as the code is not nominative.
5. How to get your Subscription
Purchase
