Rules of Use

Where can I find the new Regulations of Use?

You can read the Rules of Use at this link.

When did the new Usage Regulations come into force?

The new Usage Regulations came into force on 13 May 2025.

What changes compared to the previous Regulations of Use?

This is what changes:

  • The number of permitted accesses for the individual subscriber and/or his or her museum and exhibition subscription can be defined and limited after publication on the Association's official channels, and may not be repeated in the same museum and temporary exhibitions (or access to parts thereof) within the same day.
  • The use of the Subscription may be restricted or not allowed during special periods or events that differ from the museum's normal fee schedule and in the case of events of a commercial nature. It will be the Association's task to communicate these changes through official communication channels.
  • In the event of misuse and non-compliance with these Rules, the Subscription may be blocked. The cardholder will receive a notice of the reasons for the blocking of the card.

From the entry into force of the new Regulations for Use, will I only be able to visit the museums and exhibitions included in the validity of my Museum Pass once?

No, unless otherwise stated on the abbonamentomusei.it website, the use of the Museum Pass remains unlimited.

In what cases can the number of permitted accesses be defined or limited?

For example in the case of Triennale Milan, as indicated on the website, free and unlimited access to the Design Museum and a total of 3 admissions to temporary exhibitions are allowed for the validity of each Season Ticket.

All these cases are always reported on the abbonamentomusei.it

Under what circumstances may the use of the Subscription be restricted or not allowed?

On days with special pricing (e.g. symbolic entry at € 1.00), such as the European Heritage Days o Sunday at the Museum, the use of the Subscription is not permitted.

I purchased the Museum Pass for unlimited museum visits, with the change of the Terms of Use the product no longer meets my requirements.

The Rules and Regulations may be amended by the Subscription Museums Association, even during the validity of the individual subscriptions issued, for organisational needs of the Association itself, without the need for prior or new subscription by the holders.

You may, however, at any time exercise your right of withdrawal without being entitled to a refund. However, according to the regulations in force (art. 52 of Legislative Decree 206/2005) the Subscription is refundable only if unused, purchased online and within 14 days of purchase. To obtain a refund write to [email protected]. In any other case the Museums Subscription is not refundable.

What is meant by misuse?

Misuse is defined as fraudulent use of the Subscription, e.g. use of the Subscription for two visits at too close a time and not allowing a real visit to the museum or exhibition, or any other similar case. The Association reserves the right to carry out random checks and to block subscriptions that fall into these categories.
