Sunday 29.11.2026 at 08:30-18:00
In the morning, a visit to the MeBo Menabrea Botalla Museum: the only corporate museum in Italy to house two companies under one roof. Situated in the historic centre of Biella, it tells the century-long story of Birra Menabrea, Italy’s oldest operating brewery, and Botalla Formaggi, the creator of the famous Sbirro cheese, the first beer-infused cheese produced in Italy.
In Biella’s historic centre, there is an exhibition space created through a collaboration between two long-established companies.
Casa Menabrea – Beer Museum It recounts the beer-making process and traces the more than 170-year history of Italy’s oldest operating brewery: a testament of vital relevance today, a symbol of the history and passion that the Menabrea and Thedy families have nurtured without interruption since 1846.
Botalla House - Cheese Museum tells the story of a dairy company that from the post-war period to the present day has built up equally strong roots in the territory; it is an immersion in the dairy tradition of the Biella Alps, to understand how it has evolved and innovated up to the present day.
At the end, an experience of tasting of 2 beers and 6 types of cheese.
Leisure activities in the historic centre.
Afternoon visit to the exhibition Divisionism 1900–1930. The Mark of the Avant-Garde in Italy: the exhibition is taking shape in the rooms of Palazzo Gromo Losa and Palazzo Ferrero. Two venues for a comprehensive and detailed narrative that traces the transformation of Divisionism from a predominantly Lombard and Piedmontese phenomenon into a national artistic language, capable of profoundly influencing new generations of artists.
Featuring over 150 works – from the masterpieces of Giovanni Segantini, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Gaetano Previati, Vittore Grubicy de Dragon, Emilio Longoni, Plinio Nomellini, right up to leading figures such as Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, Anselmo Bucci, Leonardo Dudreville, Luigi Russolo and Guido Marussig – The project offers a fresh interpretation of Divisionism, focusing on its evolution during the 20th century, when it established itself as one of the most innovative artistic languages of the avant-garde movement.
