Temporary exhibition
Banksy – The street is the museum
Historical Apartments of Palazzo Barolo - Turin (TO)
From Thursday 22 October 2026 to Sunday 31 January 2027
Having attracted over 3.5 million visitors worldwide, the exhibition dedicated to the famous anonymous artist has been revamped and is now coming to Turin, at the historic cellars of Palazzo Falletti di Barolo. The exhibition traces the evolution of the renowned exhibition dedicated to the British master and brings together over 150 works to tell the story of the most enigmatic protagonist of the Street Art contemporary.
Edited by Artful Contemporary, the exhibition offers an engaging journey comprising graffiti, photographs, video installations and faithful reproductions of his works on canvas, fabric, aluminium, Forex and Plexiglas. Visitors have a unique opportunity to get up close to some of his most iconic images, such as Flower Thrower, Girl with Balloon, Napoleon e Steve Jobs, many of which are no longer visible in the places where they were originally created.
The curatorial concept, born out of the creative director’s vision Emre Ezelli, addresses the fundamental need to preserve the memory of an art form that is, by its very nature, ephemeral – conceived for the urban space and often destined to disappear, be destroyed or covered over. Through this visual journey, the major themes of our time — the war, the peacethe consumerism, the migrations, the inequalities, l'environment and the civil rights — they become the central theme of a powerful social critique, demonstrating how an image painted on a wall can become an extraordinary tool for social commentary and collective participation.
