The Arnaldo Pomodoro Collection – Vol. I
Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation - Milan (MI)
From Saturday 3.10.2026 to Sunday 30 May 2027
To mark the conclusion of the celebrations for the centenary of the birth of Arnaldo Pomodoro, the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation presents the first part of a major exhibition project curated by Federico Giani. The exhibition is dedicated to the extraordinary and intimate art collection that the Maestro has built over the course of more than Sixty years of research, a treasure of inestimable value which forms an integral part of the cultural heritage of the Foundation.
The result of purchases, exchanges and gifts, the collection offers an intimate and profound account of the figure of Arnaldo Pomodoro, outlining a veritable landscape of relationships, affections and stimulating intellectual exchanges. Through this journey, the public can discover the artist’s intimate connection with artists, intellectuals and leading figures in Italian and international culture. More than just a collection of works, the exhibition takes the form of a visual diary of a life entirely devoted to art and nourished by a constant stream of visual and conceptual encounters.
Housed in the charming surroundings of the Pomodoro Studio a Milan, in Via Vigevano 3, the exhibition forms part of a comprehensive exhibition diptych which will be concluded with the second volume. The entire project will shed light on over one hundred works, many of which, to date, unprecedented, offering a unique opportunity to retrace the key stages in the sculptor’s personal and artistic life and his Foundation, starting with the 1950s to reach as far as the these days.
