Look, listen, get moving!

Works of art are meant to be looked at, but if we pay close attention, we realise that they can also be listened to, as Wassily Kandinsky argued. On this playful tour of the Museo del Novecento, it is the children – guided by the guide’s questions – who come to understand how shapes and colours also have a “voice”. After observing the selected artwork, the children find a sound that best represents it, and then – inspired by that sound – try to move and use gestures to express the possible relationship between shapes, colours, sounds and movements.
