AM Club | Prehistory on the Water

A guided tour to discover Isolino Virginia, a walk taking in the lake, nature and archaeology. The tour will trace the long history of the oldest pile-dwelling site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, through the artefacts on display at the Ponti Museum, set against a landscape suspended between the sky and the lake.

Need to know

Guided tour reserved for season ticket holders. The tour is also suitable for families with children aged between 6 and 11. Should the event be cancelled, Abbonamento Musei will notify you by the Friday before the event via the email address provided at the time of booking.

Please make a booking via the User Area on the Abbonamento Musei website for your accompanying person as well. Please ensure you arrive on time.

Accessibility

Transport by boat, presence of stairs and grassy park.

• Meeting: At the Biandronno jetty on Via Marconi – Biandronno (VA)
  • 2.45 pm – meeting point (please be as punctual as possible)
  • 3.00 pm: departure from the jetty and boat trip to Isolino Virginia
  • 3.10 pm: arrival at Isolino Virginia and start of the tour
  • around 4.45 pm – end of the visit
• Cost: Free guided tour reserved for season ticket holders. Each season ticket holder may bring one non-season ticket holder, who will be able to take part in the guided tour free of charge: all participants are responsible for the cost of the boat ticket required to reach the Isolino. The ticket costs €7.00 per person (please check for any concessions on site or online) and can be paid for at the Virginia Restaurant on Isolino on the day of the event.
