There is a specific moment when a city’s character changes: it happens when the’contemporary art Go to the public space and transforms it. The travelling exhibition curated by Davide Dall’Osso, edited by Francesca Bogliolo and organised by the Municipality of Cernobbio in collaboration with the GALP Gallery, presents an exhibition itinerary in which suspended ballerinas, expressive faces e horses in plastic tension are in constant dialogue with the urban environment and with Villa Bernasconi. Comprising 15 installations, the exhibition showcases iconic and instantly recognisable figures, the result of the poetic exploration of one of the best-known artists on the national scene.
The art of Dall’Osso draws its inspiration from industrial waste materials, which are skilfully reclaimed and shaped by the heat of the blowtorch, thereby drawing new life and spiritual meaning. This profound formal exploration speaks of transformation e renaissance, highlighting how every ending can become a new beginning. The project stems from a profound dialogue with the poetic manifesto “For an underground theatre” by Antonio Neiwiller, embodying a shared vision in which the sculptures constantly shift between visible and invisible, between real and imaginary. The artworks invite visitors and those passing through the area of Cernobbio to reflect on the precariousness of the present times, clinging to the traces of the past to find their way and rediscover a profound sense of nomadism and freedom.
