Interactive tours of the workshops at the Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts

To mark the 800th anniversary of the death of St Francis of Assisi, the Cisterna Castle opens the doors to its Museum of the Arts and Crafts of bygone days for an extraordinary and evocative event.

The museum’s historic workshops are transformed into the setting for a veritable journey through time: within them, figures from the past will come to life thanks to the actors, who will recount episodes from the Saint’s life. Through previously unpublished texts, freely adapted from the history and teachings of the ‘Poverello’ of Assisi, the play will convey a universal message capable of transcending all boundaries, beyond time and space.
