Royal Walks 2026 – Govone Castle

The project by the Consortium of the Royal Residences of the House of Savoy to create the The Kings’ Roads, the Royal Palaces Trail in Piedmont. On Sunday 13 September 2026, the event will take place around the picturesque Govone Castle, overlooking the hills of the Langhe and Roero.

Participants will be able to choose between two non-competitive circular routes (of approximately 10 km e 17 km), designed to help you discover stories from days gone by, unique landscapes, vineyards and enchanting views, blending nature, culture and wellbeing. The route is the second permanent walking trail on the Vie dei Re.

What is included in the membership:

• Traveller’s kit and support along the way.
• Stage refreshments e traditional sweet final.
• Vie dei Re Passport with the official stamp of the stage affixed.
• Health awareness and prevention initiatives in collaboration with the Piedmontese Foundation for Cancer Research in Candiolo (the event’s charity partner).

• When:
  • Sunday 13 September 2026 (In the event of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday 20 September 2026).
• Where: Start and finish at Govone Castle (CN).
• Route lengths: Ring-shaped, choose from 10 km e 17 km approx..
• Museum Benefits and Concessions:
  • Upon the stamping of the Vie dei Re Passport achieved during the walk, you are entitled to the’Concessionary admission to Govone Castle (valid until 1 November 2026).
  • Complete the collection! Take part and get stamps on all the routes of the Royal Walks 2026, you can get the’free admission at the Reggia di Venaria or the Castello della Mandria by December 2026.
