September visits to the MUDI in Alba

This September, the MUDI – Diocesan Museum of Alba – looks forward to welcoming you with a special programme of scheduled events designed for the whole family! From exciting English-language challenges amongst the archaeological remains to spectacular panoramic climbs up the cathedral bell tower, followed by a tasting session, September is the perfect month to rediscover the millennia-old history of the city of Alba with the Museum Pass.

Escape Room at the Museum

A fun and educational experience in collaboration with Kids&Us. The Diocesan Museum is transformed into an escape room designed for young children, with riddles and brainteasers in English scattered throughout the archaeological trail. The children will have to solve the challenges to “return to 2026”, discovering Alba’s history as they explore the remnants of the past.

45 Metres Above Alba

A special guided tour of the bell tower of Alba Cathedral, followed by a snack featuring local specialities

A guided tour to discover the extraordinary 12th-century bell tower, which houses a second tower dating from the 10th century. As you climb the steps within the walls of the two bell towers to a height of 45 metres, you can admire the “city of 100 towers” from above. The tour includes the underground archaeological exhibition and the lapidary, enhanced by the new multimedia display. The afternoon ends with a snack of local produce in the garden of the cathedral rectory.
