The exhibition stems from a deep desire to celebrate and showcase the work of Federica Galli in the town of Monza, a place that has always maintained a special bond and relationship with its prestigious graphic design output. The municipal collections of the House of the Humbled They indeed house a collection of immense scientific and artistic value, which has been enriched over time by significant and generous donations dedicated to the artist.
In this fascinating exhibition, the focus is on one of the most iconic and beloved themes of the Lombard engraver: the plant world, the landscape and the Monumental Trees. Among the works on display, the famous engravings depicting natural subjects, executed with extraordinary skill using the refined and complex technique of’etching. This particular engraving technique requires exceptional skill, great patience and a keen sensitivity to the rendering of light and shade – details that form part of the poetics of Federica Galli manages to bring out the very best in the executive team.
Through a collection of prints and drawings of rare evocative power, the public has the opportunity to immerse themselves in a visual exploration spanning over thirty years.
