September Events at Rivoli Castle

History, power and the climate crisis intertwine in the new events at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art. From the political backdrop of the 18th-century Savoy dynasty to the environmental challenges of the modern era, the September programme offers a fascinating journey through historical memory, art and science:

• 3 September (3.00 pm) – Chronicle of an Abdication A special guided tour traces the political and psychological drama surrounding the abdication of Victor Amadeus II in favour of his son, Charles Emmanuel III, which took place right here in the castle’s halls in 1730.
• 10 September (4.00 pm) – On the side of the glaciologists As part of the exhibition Cecilia Vicuña: The Vanished Glacier, experts Marta Chiarle and Marco Giardino will be in conversation with curator Marcella Beccaria at an event dedicated to the disappearance of glaciers (preceded by a guided tour).
