AM Club | The landscapes of Palazzo Moroni

For almost four centuries, Palazzo Moroni has been home to a veritable treasure: the largest private park in Upper Bergamo. The Italian-style gardens, with their elegant, formal terraces, are complemented by the stunning vegetable garden – a rural retreat featuring “tall meadows”, fruit trees, an ancient bird snare and conservation areas. Today, this site requires constant care to protect not only its botanical species but also its numerous inhabitants. To mark the Landscape Festival, we present a behind-the-scenes account of the Palazzo Moroni park: conservation, enhancement and biodiversity. This is a challenge that the FAI tackles on a daily basis, involving academics and professionals.
