Let's Read

Let's Read It is an experiential journey that weaves literature together with contemporary art, creating an opportunity for dialogue in which visitors can share their thoughts, ideas and emotions through the exhibition, using the many languages of the contemporary world.

The main speaker at the meeting is Foldable Beijing (translated by Silvia Pozzi, add editore, 2020), the famous collection of short stories by the writer and researcher Hao Jingfang. Throughout the book, the author explores human fragility in the face of societal uncertainties and changes, focusing on pressing issues such as environmental challenges, artificial intelligence and automation.

The event has been conceived and is being led by the Foundation’s art mediators and forms part of the solo exhibitions Exhaust by Xin Liu and Dancing by June Crespo. The aim is to explore the work of both artists in greater depth through a rigorous and stimulating interdisciplinary approach.

Through an open dialogue between Hao Jingfang’s fiction and the visual artworks on display, the activity invites participants to examine the space and time we inhabit, to reflect on our relationship with the places around us, and to challenge conventional perspectives on reality in order to re-examine our view of the near future.
