Summer 2026 at the Basilica of Superga

With the arrival of the warmer months, the Basilica of Superga is getting ready to welcome Turin residents and tourists with a packed programme of events and activities for the’Summer 2026. The programme, organised by SERMIG’s Fraternità della Speranza (which manages the monumental complex), offers an evocative experience that brings together singer-songwriter music, art, spirituality, the promotion of the local area and social inclusion.

➡️ Harmonies in the Basilica: great music with free admission

The nave and the Juvarra-designed spaces will be transformed into an exceptional acoustic stage thanks to the concert series conceived in collaboration with the Sermig Sound Workshop. The programme will range widely from chamber music to large polyphonic ensembles. With the aim of making culture a shared asset accessible to all, every event on the calendar will be at free admission.

➡️ Superga evenings: night-time openings and the Panoramic Dome

Throughout the season – every Friday and Saturday evening from June to September – the complex’s gates will remain open as a one-off from 9.00 pm until midnight. It will be the perfect opportunity to escape the heat of the lowlands, take a stroll in the cool of the hills and climb the majestic Panoramic Dome, from where you can enjoy an unrivalled night-time view of Turin all lit up.

The real news this year is that the event will take place over an even longer period in the middle of August: From 7 to 23 August, the Basilica will be open every evening, from 9.00 pm to midnight.

➡️ Artisan ice cream with a charitable heart

The summer experience at Superga combines architectural beauty with significant social value. During the evening openings, visitors can cool off by enjoying the brand’s artisan ice cream and baked goods The Flavours of the Hermitage. This is Sermig’s social bakery workshop, based at the Hermitage of Pecetto Torinese – a valuable project dedicated to the employment and social integration of young people with disabilities, whose excellent cakes and biscuits will always be available to sample at the Basilica.

➡️ Closer to the city: the GTT services and the new Superga Express

Getting to the hill has never been so easy and sustainable, thanks to our partnership with GTT:

• On Saturday evening: it will be possible to board the historic Sassi–Superga rack-and-pinion tram (with the last downhill run postponed to 11.30 pm).
• Sundays and public holidays: The new service is currently being trialled (until October) Superga Express (SPX). With services departing from Piazza Vittorio Veneto from 9.40 am (every 40 minutes), this special service provides a direct link between the city centre and the Basilica for the price of a standard city bus ticket.

Entry to the Basilica is always free of charge. An admission ticket is required to go up to the Panoramic Dome and to visit the museum areas (including the Cloister and the Hall of the Popes).
