Werner Jeker. Photo Typo

Werner Jeker (Switzerland, 1944) represents a unique case on the international scene of graphic design applied to photography, and the exhibition that CAMERA Torino is dedicating to him represents a world premiere.

Jeker is, in fact, regarded as one of the best graphic designers specialists in billposting of his generation: the perfect balance he manages to strike between photography and typography is unrivalled, and its visual language transcends the mere function of advertising, establishing itself as a genuine work of graphic art.

Werner Jeker is the author of over 800 posters, created specifically for cultural institutions; the exhibition presents a wide selection of these, with a focus on works that incorporate photography.

The exhibition is curated by François Hébel, artistic director of CAMERA Torino, and is accompanied by a catalogue published by Dario Cimorelli Publisher.
