Summer 2026 at the Antonio Carena House Museum

La Antonio Carena House Museum invites you to discover the world of the “painter of the skies” through an immersive experience blending art, memory and atmosphere. A unique opportunity to visit the artist’s home and connect with his true essence.

The Exhibition Route

Inside the House Museum, visitors can view a permanent retrospective spread across three rooms, each dedicated to a different period in Antonio Carena’s artistic career: from the 1940s to the early 2000s. The tour also includes a visit to the artist’s studio, the intimate space where his works took shape.

The Personal Collection

Alongside the paintings, visitors can admire Carena’s eclectic collection, a fascinating journey through different eras and styles. Among the most notable items are:

• A piano Pleyel from the mid-19th century (a model much loved by Chopin);
• The iconic 1970s armchairs designed by Liisi Beckmann;
• A suspended egg, hung there by Carena himself as a tribute to Piero della Francesca;
• A striking sculpture of balancing coffee cups, created by the artist Matilde Domestico.

These are just some of the things that make a visit here a surprising and unique experience.

This summer, the guided tours will be enhanced with a special event: extended opening hours until 5.00 pm, followed by a drinks reception.

Special events in July: Tour & Aperitif

In July, Casa Carena is organising a series of special events featuring an exclusive tour, followed by a pleasant aperitif.

• Cost: The event is free for holders of the Museum Pass (AM)
