AM Club | Summer Visits to the Rivoli Castle

The Rivoli Castle Museum of Contemporary Art presents the calendar of summer events. A rich programme ranging from contemporary art to the historical discovery of the Savoy Residence through readings, insights and guided tours.

Visits and Exhibitions Programme

1. Contemporary Art Exhibition: Cecilia Vicuña. El glaciar ido

A guided tour of the first exhibition in an Italian museum dedicated to Cecilia Vicuña (Santiago de Chile, 1948), artist, poet and activist living in New York. Her feminist and ecological thinking focuses on the defence of democracy, freedom of expression and the protection of indigenous cultural heritage through decolonial practices. The exhibition includes a new commission specially designed for the Long Channel.

2. Historical Review: The Good Air

A journey through time through art and history entitled The Voices of the Castle: summer readings between history and myth. These are weekly afternoon visits characterised by an itinerary in stages that combines the discovery of the Savoy Residence with the reading of fragments of period diaries, letters, poems and historical documents.

  • Friday 19 June at 15:00 - The atrium and the vision of Filippo Juvarra
    • Historical guided tour of the Savoy Residence starting from the monumental atrium.
  • Friday 24 July at 15:00 - The Apartment of Victor Amadeus II
    • Historical guided tour with special reference to the flat of Victor Amadeus II on the first floor of the Savoy Residence.
  • Thursday 17 September at 15:00 - Belriguardo and the view over the valley
    • Historical guided tour focusing on the environmental and landscape context in which the Rivoli Castle is set and the wonderful panorama enjoyed from the Savoy Residence.
